Jeff

Jeff Peeples

Jeff Peeples began his career in safety a decade ago; following his mentor to Ringers Gloves. Soaking up everything he could about the HSE world while working in 27 different countries. Jeff co-founded Tomahawk Safety in 2018 as Chief Development Officer. Seeing the benefit of open discussion forums, and a void of that in the safety world, Jeff decided to start The Mission Zero Podcast in 2021.

In addition to designing and manufacturing safety products, Jeff is an avid archaeologist and member of the Explorer’s Club. Jeff has taken part in the exploration of sites in Mexico, Guatemala, Vietnam, and Turkey. He is also an avid reader and traveler and has logged 65 countries visited. Jeff has also completed 42 triathlons.

Prior to his current career, Jeff retired after 11 years in the Army after serving in two deployments. His philanthropic activities include work with Trigger’s Toys, REDm, and minor roles in two other nonprofit organizations.

Jeff lives in Houston, TX, is single, and has two nieces, Ada and Emory.

Justin Overstreet

Justin Overstreet has been involved in growing and leading teams for most of his professional life. It is a true passion of his to build teams and processes which are sustainable at scale. This passion translates well into interperonsal interactions and has proven to be a major competent to his success as a business executive.

The majority of his experience (~20 years) has been in the creation, implementation and execution of safety systems, primarily in the oil and gas industry. Justin carries a certification as a Master Trainer from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), as well as a designation as a “Qualified Person” (Fall Protection) and several certifications in rigging and lifting.

Justin has held roles from Technician to Executive Leadership positions responsible for the design, implementation, and strategic execution of entire safety programs from the ground up. He actively works to create a culture of empowerment and provides tools and resources to enable the teams he interacts with to own their respective piece of the overall program. This experience has provided him with a healthy perspective on how to effectively communicate with Executives and Individual Contributors alike.

Justin lives in the Houston, TX area with his wife of 16 years. He is a father of two girls and enjoys fishing, playing golf, and is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
